James is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and Exercise Physiologist. James is the founder and owner of JLucas Nutrition, which offers comprehensive, realistic nutrition advice and meal plans to help you to optimize your health, wellness and athletic performance. James has several years of experience in the field of nutrition. James graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Nutrition for Sport & Exercise. He also has his master’s in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University. He completed his dietetic internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and worked for Yale Hospital as an oncology dietitian. He has experience working with cancer patients, athletes and active individuals and focuses on developing a tailored approach to your individual nutrition needs. James is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), as well as the dietetic practice group Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN). He is also a member of The Certified Practitioners in Sports Dietetics Association (CPSDA). James currently resides in the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex.
